Claus Porto is the oldest soap-making brand in Portugal and a true heritage company. Through over 134 years and four generations, Claus Porto has developed its unique expertise in handmade soaps, colognes, scented candles, home diffusers and men’s grooming products, crafting a philosophy of authenticity and an incredible portfolio of colourful hand-made labels and design patterns, each with its own unique personality.

German immigrants Ferdinand Claus and Georges Sweder founded Claus Porto at the end of the 19th century, manufacturing soaps and perfumes in a factory in Porto. Following its huge success, they sold the company to the factory accountant, Achilles de Brito after which he changed the name to Claus Porto and added this line of products to others he is producing under the new name ACH.Brito, the parent company that still owns Claus Porto today.

Still owned and managed by the family, in recent years, with a focus on its unique heritage and beautiful packaging, it has become incredibly fashionable and its products can be found in exclusive boutiques in the USA, Canada and throughout Europe.
